Estonian Meeting . . . In viaggio per l'Estonia

Mi chiamo Ettore e dal 18 al 22 ottobre 2010 sono stato in Estonia per il progetto Comenius: ”Immediate Surroundings”, che ha la finalità di educare i ragazzi al rispetto dell’ ambiente.         

I protagonisti  sono  studenti provenienti da varie parti dell’ Europa: Italia, Spagna, Portogallo, Estonia, Romania e Turchia. Ovviamente, si comunicava in inglese e quindi questo ha comportato l'uso costante  di questa lingua. Durante la nostra permanenza,  abbiamo visitato antiche costruzioni,oggi adibite  a scuole. Quella che più mi ha colpito è stata  la “Sagadi manor”, una bellissima reggia dove, per poterla visitare, la guida ha escogitato un gioco molto divertente: muniti di una mappa dovevamo andare in giro per la reggia a cercare indizi che ci raccontavano la storia di questa antica casa. Nel cortile c’era un lago e il museo del legno, in cui si potevano ammirare le diverse varietà di legname utilizzate da questi popoli per la costruzione delle loro abitazioni. Vi era anche una serra dove erano coltivati le specie vegetali tipiche del luogo.

Il giorno seguente abbiamo visitato una bellissima foresta libera da ogni forma di inquinamento.

Personalmente sono rimasto colpito positivamente da questa esperienza, perché ho fatto nuove amicizie e sono stato a contatto con  modi di vivere differenti dal nostro stile; è  un’ esperienza che consiglio a tutti di fare, perché ci insegna anche ad adattarci a diverse situazioni.

My name is Ettore and from the 18th to 22nd October 2010 I have been in Estonia for the Comenius project: ”Immediate Surroundings”,it has the purpose to educate the boys/girls to respect the environment. The protagonists of this project are some students from different parts of Europe as Italy, Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Romania and Turkey. Obviously all of us had to speak English to communicate, so this meant a greater knowledge of the language. During our trip in Estonia we visited some old houses used today as schools. Moreover, we visited the “Sagadi Manor” a beautiful royal palace, where the travel guide invented a nice game to visit the palace: equipped by a map, we went sightseeing to find clues which told us about the story of the palace. In the courtyard there was a lake and the museum of the wood, where there were the different kinds of wood used by this population to build their houses. There was a greenhouse with inside the typical plants of the place.

Then we visited a beautiful forest without traces of pollution. Personally I  enjoyed this trip because I did a lot of new experiences and I met many new friends; I saw a lot of new places and I have known another life style. I recommend all students to do this experience  because it teaches us to adapt to different situations too.
